Custom sizes are our specialty as we make our frames on premises. Canvas Stretching is slightly different from Canvas Wrapping. Canvas stretching is generally performed when the artwork is to be framed either immediately or at a later date. The staples are placed on the immediate outside of the frame which will be hidden when framed. Gallery wraps are performed when the artwork is not going to be framed. Gallery Wrapped are wrapped on stretcher bars that are thicker than normal to add more separation or depth between the artwork and the wall. Staples are placed on the inside of the bars ( the side that goes against the wall). The beauty of Gallery wraps is that the actual design of the artwork is mostly allowed to continue around to the sides of the artwork so that it initially can be viewed from the side.
